If you are traveling to Peru after July 1, you may want to reconfirm your visit to Machu Picchu. New rules will be enforced "to ensure the adequate flow of tourist visits to the sanctuary".

With non-stop service from San Francisco on low-cost carrier Wow Air, you're on your way to relaxing at the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa and exploring waterfalls, iceberg lagoons, and vast landscapes. The Travel Sauce can help you plan your trip to the land of WOW.
The old town of Porto offers plenty of eye candy but we recommend also heading to the coast (12km away) to get your green on at Parque da Cidade and get your cheese on at Castelo do Queijo Forte de São Francisco Xavier.
Just kidding about the cheese part but still, how fun to visit a 17th century fort with an oceanview. Rent a bicycle or lay a towel on Praia Internacional, a large swatch of sand that fronts a few cafes with outdoor seating. If your calling is nightlife, visit Kasa da Praia.
Did you know..... 80 percent of people who've used a travel agent within the past five years had a favorable view of them. With Fyre Island's recent shenanigans, why would you leave your vacation in the hands of an instagram influencer when you can trust a travel professional to create custom experiences and provide exclusive perks.

It's taken me since January but I (finally) got around to finishing the post-punk goth memoir from musician David J (sorry SFPL!). Overall it was an enjoyable read - though scary in some parts - and David J is a great storyteller. My favorite part though, is his description of life on the road for a band:
Once we were back on the bus for our overnight drive to San Diego, Peter slipped back into zombie mode while the rest of us partied up front until the small hours, when the energy finally became more subdued. I love this time. There is something quite magical about being awake when most of the world is asleep. Riding shotgun up front, getting to know the driver, tuning into some obscure country or soul station on the radio, or else sitting in silence as the bus sucks up the endless parade of painted white lines. It's more about leaving than arriving - a state of stasis in transit. Freedom.
This is brilliant. The next client that books with me is going to receive a set of dinosaurs as a thank you gift because Travel photos are instantly better with Dinosaur toys.
The Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain and Tucson, Arizona!
Actually we came back over a month ago but this has been our busiest winter yet and we're just getting around to updating the website. We are so grateful for your referrals!! But back to The Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain. It was time for a quick holiday break and with $19 fares to Phoenix on Frontier Airlines, we couldn't resist a visit to the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. We planned our visit to coincide with the Geminids meteor shower, but we soon discovered the hotel was the real star of the trip.
The hotel blends naturally into the Saguaro forest, located 102 miles south of Phoenix International Airport. Upon check-in, we were greeted by the scent of Christmas: pine cones, cinnamon, orange, cloves and vanilla. Or maybe the scent was coming from the life-size gingerbread house. Enjoy spacious 450 sq ft rooms while a flutist plays ancient melodies to welcome each evening's sunset. Active families will love the three swimming pool areas with 235-foot water slide, trails for hiking and biking, fire pits and smores kits, geocaching, night hikes, and weekly visits from an astronomer. During summers, the pool area doubles as a Dive-In Movie, when films are projected on a screen over the water. Want to bring the outdoors inside for your kids? Ask us about the Sleeping Under The Stars Experience, in which your guestroom will be customized with a starry laser lightshow projected on the ceiling, a faux campfire, and sleeping bag with treats such as a pocket telescope, educational stargazing book, and house-made chocolate stars. Or ask about the In-Room Tent Experience in which the traditional rollaway bed is replaced with an in-room tent.
Did we mention the buffet breakfast? So good, we were too busy enjoying it to take any pictures. We also highly recommend treating yourself to a massage at the hotel spa, where you'll enjoy access to all spa facilities like the cabanas at the Serenity Pool, sauna & steam rooms, and locker areas.
For sightseeing, Tucson is only 29 miles away and the Mission San Xavier del Bac is a can't miss, This landmark dates back to the early 1700s and was originally founded by a Spanish missionary, making it one of the oldest Catholic churches in the US. Its unique architecture mixes Baroque, Moorish, and Spanish styles and is as impressive on the inside as it is on the outside. You can shop wares made by the Tohono O'odham tribe in the nearby shops that dot the parking area.
